UIH, TCCT and 1-Net Singapore, the three IT Leaders, Join Forces in Supporting the Thai Government’s Digital Economy policy

and Mr. Wong Ka Vin, Managing Director of 1-Net Singapore Pte Ltd.,
meet Deputy Prime Minister M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula to join the Data Center project in support of the Thai government’s Digital Economy policy.

  Mr. Vichai Bencharongkul  Executive Chairman, United Information Highway (UIH) Company Limited, says UIH has now joined forces with TCC Technology Company Limited (TCCT) and 1-Net Singapore, a major data-center operator based in Singapore, in making preparations for the Data Center project. In response to the Thai government’s policy to encourage private operators to step in and provide the consolidation services, the three IT leaders have jointly submitted the written expression of interest toElectronic Government Agency (Public Organization).
     
According to him, the partnership of these three leading IT groups aims to combine the strengths of each group for the ultimate delivery of premiumdata-center services as one stop solutions.

UIH is a leading broadband provider in Thailand. With two decades of experiences, its service networks cover not just Thailand but also other countries. Recently, through its partnership. It has also launched the comprehensive range of Cloud NextGen services. 

According to Mr.Vichai the Data Center project will also create jobs and business opportunities for various industries including network-service businesses. In addition, this project will reform data storage system of both government agencies and big companies in Thailand. As a highly-experienced private entrepreneur in the field, this jointed venture is well qualified to contribute to the Data Center project. So, it has a keen interest to come forward and help the country overhaul its data management system.

“It’s time that every organization pays significant attention to the leveraging of digital technologies for work-efficiency maximization. Such move will increase Thailand’s competitiveness. It will also pave way for the country to become not just an ASEAN leader in the Digital Economy Era but also the ASEAN’s leading data-center service provider,” 
Mr. Vichai says. 
 
Mr. Panot Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chairman of Executive Board of T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd., the provider of data-center services, says TCCT is ready to drive Thailand ahead to be in line with the government’s policy. He describes his firm as a commercial-data-center leader, pointing out that TCCT ranks among Thailand’s largest providers of data centers and backup centers.  
     
TCCT aims at becoming Regional Hub of Data Centers and Connectivity. In the future TCCT plans to expand data centers along with fiber optic connectivity by partnering with alliance both Thailand and in the region. TCCT is aware of market demand and needs for enterprises to utilize data center facility and connectivity. With our service provisioning expertise for over a decade, we collaborated with UIH and 1-Net capitalizing on the solid potential and leading to innovation of data center management. The collaboration will create readiness for Thailand to move forward to Digital Economy and ability to compete in borderless ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)”, said Mr. Panot.
